Returns & Refunds Policy
Last updated: August 2026
At TD Home Decors, we want you to feel confident when purchasing from us.
We carefully select our furniture and home décor products and may work with third-party suppliers, sourcing agents, warehouses, fulfilment partners and logistics providers to source, inspect, process and deliver customer orders.
This Returns & Refunds Policy explains how we handle:
-
Change-of-mind returns
-
Products damaged in transit
-
Faulty or defective products
-
Incorrectly supplied products
-
Bulky furniture returns
-
Returns involving suppliers or fulfilment partners
-
Order cancellations
-
Refunds
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Change of Mind Returns
We understand that sometimes you may change your mind after making a purchase.
TD Home Decors may accept change-of-mind returns for eligible products, subject to the conditions below.
To request a change-of-mind return:
-
You must contact TD Home Decors within 14 days of receiving your order
-
The product must be unused and unassembled
-
The product must be in its original condition
-
Original packaging should be retained and suitable for safe return transport
-
All accessories, manuals, hardware and components must be included
-
The product must be suitable for resale
-
Proof of purchase must be provided
Change-of-mind returns must be approved by TD Home Decors before the product is returned.
Customers are responsible for return freight costs for approved change-of-mind returns unless TD Home Decors agrees otherwise.
Original delivery charges are generally non-refundable for a change-of-mind return.
2. Products Not Eligible for Change of Mind Returns
Some products may not be eligible for voluntary change-of-mind returns, including:
-
Custom-made products
-
Made-to-order products
-
Special-order products
-
Clearance or final-sale products where this has been clearly stated
-
Products that have been assembled or installed
-
Products that have been used
-
Products damaged after delivery
-
Products modified by the customer
-
Products missing essential components or accessories
-
Products without suitable packaging where safe return transport cannot reasonably be arranged
These exclusions apply only to change-of-mind returns.
They do not remove any rights you may have where a product is faulty, damaged, unsafe, incorrectly supplied, not fit for purpose or otherwise fails to meet Australian Consumer Law guarantees.
3. Damaged in Transit
Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If your product appears to have been damaged during transit, contact TD Home Decors as soon as reasonably possible.
Where possible, we recommend reporting visible transit damage within 48 hours of delivery.
Prompt reporting assists us when investigating the issue with the relevant supplier, warehouse, fulfilment partner or freight provider.
Failure to report visible damage within 48 hours does not automatically remove any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
When making a damaged-in-transit claim, please provide where available:
-
Your full name
-
Order number
-
Product name
-
Description of the damage
-
Clear photographs or videos of the affected area
-
Photographs of the entire product
-
Photographs of the external packaging
-
Photographs of internal protective packaging
-
Photographs of shipping labels or parcel labels
Please keep the product and original packaging until the matter has been reviewed.
Do not dispose of the product or packaging unless instructed by TD Home Decors.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable consumer rights, an appropriate resolution may include:
4. Faulty Products
Our products come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
A product may potentially fail to meet consumer guarantees if, for example, it is:
-
Faulty or defective
-
Unsafe
-
Not of acceptable quality
-
Not reasonably fit for its stated purpose
-
Significantly different from its description
-
Significantly different from a sample or demonstration model
If you believe a product is faulty, please contact TD Home Decors with your order details and information about the issue.
We may reasonably request:
Where a third-party supplier or fulfilment partner was involved, TD Home Decors may use the information you provide to investigate the issue with that provider.
However, TD Home Decors remains your point of contact.
Depending on the nature and severity of the problem, an appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement, refund or another remedy available under Australian Consumer Law.
5. No Fixed Return Deadline for Faulty Products
The 14-day change-of-mind period does not apply to faulty products.
Your Australian Consumer Law rights are not automatically lost simply because:
-
More than 14 days have passed
-
The product has been opened
-
The product has been used
-
Original packaging is no longer available
We may still request reasonable evidence to investigate a claim.
6. Incorrect Items
If you receive a product that is different from what you ordered, please contact TD Home Decors as soon as reasonably possible.
Please provide:
Where TD Home Decors, our supplier or our fulfilment partner has supplied the incorrect product, we will work with you to arrange an appropriate solution.
This may include:
Reasonable return freight costs resulting from an incorrectly supplied product will not be charged to the customer.
7. Products Supplied Through Suppliers and Fulfilment Partners
Some TD Home Decors products may be:
-
Sourced through third-party suppliers
-
Purchased through sourcing agents
-
Delivered to a fulfilment warehouse
-
Inspected or quality checked
-
Packed or repacked
-
Consolidated
-
Shipped internationally
-
Delivered through third-party logistics providers
If a return, refund or replacement request relates to one of these products, TD Home Decors may need to investigate the matter with the relevant supplier, warehouse, fulfilment provider or freight provider.
This internal process does not require the customer to deal directly with the overseas supplier or fulfilment platform.
TD Home Decors remains your point of contact throughout the process.
8. Returns Involving Fulfilment Partners
Where an approved return involves a product sourced or fulfilled through a third-party fulfilment partner, TD Home Decors may need to manage the return through the relevant fulfilment system.
Depending on the circumstances, the return process may include:
-
TD Home Decors submitting a return request through the relevant fulfilment system.
-
The fulfilment provider contacting the original supplier or seller to negotiate and confirm the return arrangements.
-
The supplier or seller reviewing and approving the return.
-
The fulfilment warehouse preparing, packing and sending the product back to the supplier or seller.
-
The return shipment being tracked while the supplier receives and inspects the returned product.
-
The supplier confirming and processing the applicable refund after verification.
-
The fulfilment provider crediting the refund back to TD Home Decors once the supplier-side refund has been completed.
-
TD Home Decors finalising the customer's refund or other appropriate resolution in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
Returns involving overseas suppliers, fulfilment warehouses or international freight may take longer than standard domestic returns.
Customers are not required to contact the supplier, seller, BuckyDrop or another fulfilment provider directly.
Please do not send a product directly to an overseas supplier, sourcing agent, fulfilment warehouse or third-party provider unless TD Home Decors has provided specific return instructions.
Any internal supplier or fulfilment process does not exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
9. Return Destination
There is no single return address for every TD Home Decors product.
Because products may be sourced or fulfilled from different locations, an approved return may need to be sent to:
TD Home Decors will provide the appropriate return instructions once your request has been reviewed and approved.
Please do not automatically return products to:
23 Harrow Street, Youngtown TAS 7249, Australia.
This is our business contact address and may not be the correct return destination for your product.
10. Bulky and Oversized Furniture Returns
Furniture and oversized items may require specialised return freight.
Please do not independently arrange freight for a bulky return unless TD Home Decors has confirmed the return arrangements.
For an approved return, we may need to determine:
For an approved change-of-mind return, the customer may be responsible for reasonable return freight and related transport costs.
Return freight for bulky furniture can be significant.
For products that are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, freight and return arrangements will be handled consistently with the customer's rights under Australian Consumer Law.
11. Return Packaging
Where reasonably possible, please retain the original product packaging until you are satisfied that the product has arrived correctly and without transit damage.
Original packaging can assist with:
For voluntary change-of-mind returns, suitable original packaging may be required where reasonably necessary to return the product safely.
However, lack of original packaging does not automatically remove statutory rights relating to faulty goods.
12. Return Instructions
Please do not return any product without first contacting TD Home Decors.
Once your request has been reviewed, we may provide:
Sending a product to the wrong address without receiving return instructions may cause delays or additional freight costs.
13. Tasmania Local Delivery and Assembly
Where TD Home Decors provides eligible Tasmania local delivery, furniture placement, assembly or installation services, please inspect the product as soon as reasonably practical.
If you notice visible damage during delivery or assembly, please advise the delivery team where possible.
If an issue becomes apparent after delivery, contact us with:
Any applicable Australian Consumer Law rights continue to apply.
14. Order Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, contact TD Home Decors as soon as possible.
We will try to assist where reasonably possible.
However, cancellation may no longer be possible once an order has been:
-
Submitted to a supplier
-
Purchased from a supplier
-
Specially ordered
-
Processed by a fulfilment partner
-
Received by a fulfilment warehouse
-
Packed
-
Submitted for international shipping
-
Dispatched
-
Prepared for local delivery
Where a cancellation is treated as a change-of-mind request, reasonable supplier, handling or freight costs may apply where permitted and where clearly communicated.
This does not limit any rights arising under Australian Consumer Law.
15. Refunds
Once a refund has been approved and processed by TD Home Decors, it will normally be returned to the original payment method.
Please allow approximately 5–10 business days for the refund to appear after TD Home Decors has processed it.
Actual banking time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
Where an approved return requires the product to be received or inspected first, we will notify you after the return has been reviewed.
Shipping or delivery charges associated solely with an approved change-of-mind return are generally non-refundable.
This does not mean shipping charges are automatically non-refundable where a customer is exercising rights relating to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.
16. Refunds Involving Suppliers or Fulfilment Partners
Where a product has been sourced or fulfilled through a third-party supplier or fulfilment platform, TD Home Decors may need to complete an internal supplier-side return or refund process.
This may involve waiting for:
These backend processes may affect how long it takes TD Home Decors to investigate and complete a return.
However, the customer is not required to manage these supplier-side processes directly.
TD Home Decors remains responsible for communicating with the customer and providing an appropriate resolution in accordance with applicable law.
17. Sale and Clearance Products
Products sold during a promotion, sale or clearance event remain covered by Australian Consumer Law.
A sale or discounted price does not remove rights relating to faulty or incorrectly described products.
However, a product may not be eligible for a voluntary change-of-mind return if it was clearly identified before purchase as:
If a product was discounted because of a specific disclosed fault, rights relating to that particular disclosed fault may differ.
18. Misuse, Damage or Incorrect Assembly
Consumer guarantees may not apply where a problem was caused by:
Each claim will be considered based on its circumstances.
This does not affect rights where the product itself was faulty or where instructions supplied with the product were inadequate.

21. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Returns & Refunds Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where this policy conflicts with a right available under Australian Consumer Law, the statutory right will apply.
TD Home Decors remains the customer's point of contact regarding goods purchased from TD Home Decors, regardless of whether a supplier, sourcing agent, warehouse, fulfilment provider or logistics company was involved in supplying or delivering the product.
